I attended my appointment like a typical first timer, thinking I didn’t need hearing aids. Audiologist Smita Singh greeted me with a sparkling smile which she maintains for the entire appointment. She tested me, explained the results, and presented a range of hearing aids. When I made my selection she demonstrated everything about them, actually putting them in my ears. I could test them out for 5 days. When I returned them she gave me a brand new set for purchase. The clinic offered payment plans if desired. There are follow up checkups for additional training. It was a very positive experience.

It was worth every minute that I spent with her from diagnosis to remedy. You may be able to buy your aids online for less money. But, for what you get for the personal service and quality is exceptionally valuable. My husband bought his online, and so I had the opportunity to compare the two different experiences. For me, I am very happy to have chosen to work with my ENT, and my audiologist, Smita. The most important thing to do is see your ENT as soon as you suspect even early stages of hearing loss. There is new research that hearing loss can contribute to dementia. Hearing loss is not only specific to aging.

I was somewhat nervous about getting hearing aids. During my first visit, Smita performed my hearing analysis and showed compassion and was very reassuring. We discussed the results and Dr. Gupta was in agreement with her that I could benefit from the use of hearing aids. She explained the hearing aids that were available and got mine on order right away. She even offered to loan me a pair to use until mine arrived. It only took a few days to get my own hearing aids. At the fitting appointment, Smita reviewed all the features. She used her computer to set them up based on my audio testing. After the fitting and testing them out, she explained the maintenance and various parts of the hearing aid and how to keep them clean and functioning properly. She offered her help at any time I needed it. Smita was so caring and knowledgeable, I would highly recommend her if you are looking for an excellent audiologist.

My 95 year old mother got a hearing aid from Excel Audiology. She had a difficult time getting the hearing aids inserted and Smita was very patient with her. She took a lot of time explaining about the hearing aid to my mom and helped her many times with putting them in her ear. She also showed her how to clean and take care of the the hearing aids. Smita saw my mom three times at close intervals and helped her with the hearing aids until we were sure she could put them in correctly. I didn’t know anything about hearing aids and wasn’t convinced that I needed them, but Smita tested me and explained what the tests showed so that I easily understood the need. When technology advanced, she oversaw the ordering and custom fitting of a new pair of aids that are working so well that I’ve not needed to see her for close to six months. Thank you, Smita.
